Javier was born in Caracas, Venezuela and relocated to New York City in 1997. He received his bachelors in Exercise and Sport Science from UNC Chapel Hill in 2009 before returning to New York City where he worked as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor teaching TRX and indoor cycling classes.

He received his bachelor’s in Exercise and Sport Science from UNC Chapel Hill in 2009 before returning to New York City where he worked as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor teaching TRX and indoor cycling classes.
In 2016, Javier furthered his education by pursuing a doctorate degree in physical therapy from Mercy College in New York.
Javier’s clinical experience includes work with semi-professional soccer teams, outpatient orthopedic clinics as well as inpatient rehabilitation programs. He enjoys training for endurance events and has completed races such as the NYC marathon and 2 Ironman distance triathlons. Javier’s approach combines his nine years of experience in the fitness industry with physical therapy evidence-based interventions in order to help his patients achieve optimal functioning in their daily lives. He enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons, and a hound mix dog.
