Jaime Holt, PT, MPT, SCS, CSCS, is a sports orthopedic physical therapist with over 27 years of clinical experience. He received his MPT from East Carolina University in 1999, as well as a BS in Exercise Physiology in 1995 and a Master’s in Adapted Physical Education in 1997.

Jaime Holt, PT, MPT, SCS, CSCS, is a sports orthopedic physical therapist with over 27 years of clinical experience. He received his MPT from East Carolina University in 1999, as well as a BS in Exercise Physiology in 1995 and a Master’s in Adapted Physical Education in 1997.
Over his career, he has rehabilitated and trained athletes in the NBA, NHL, MLB, NFL, PGA, MMA, and a variety of higher-level collegiate and high school athletes.
Currently, Jaime is a Physical Therapy Clinic Manager with OrthoNC. Previously, Jaime owned his own PT practice, and before that, he was a sports orthopedic PT at the Athletic Performance Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, and the PT for the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes. In October 2010, Jaime traveled to St. Petersburg, Russia, and Helsinki, Finland, to be the PT for the 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere with the Carolina Hurricanes and was named the PT for the 2011 NHL All-Star Game in Raleigh. He has also had the privilege of working at the 2012 British Open at Royal Lytham and St Annes.
Jaime has authored “Breaking the Ice” in Advance for PT Magazine and been quoted in “Lighting the Lamp” in Advance for PT Magazine. He has authored a previous webinar entitled “Managing Shoulder Pain.” In addition, he has spoken on such topics as “Prevention of ACL Injuries”, “Prevention of Injuries for Runners”, “Role of PT in Professional Sports”, “Role of PT in the National Hockey League”, and “How Can a PT and ATC Work Together?” He was also a speaker and moderator at educational summits. He has also developed, authored, and taught numerous continuing education webinars for Allied Health Education.
Jaime has taught a variety of orthopedic continuing education courses, including topics on the Shoulder, Knee & Total Joint Replacements, ACL Rehab, Dynamic Warm Up, and Other Recovery Techniques. He has attended numerous continuing education courses related to the shoulder & knee, including but not limited to: Cincinnati Sports Medicine Advances in Knee and Shoulder, Kevin Wilk’s Shoulder Rehab, Miller Orthopedic Clinic’s Shoulder Symposium, and Gary Gray ChainReaction Explosion. Jaime has been Dry Needling certified since 2011.
After 21 years of practice, Jaime takes pride in working with challenging cases, working to make the PT clinic run more efficiently and effectively, and educating/mentoring the staff at OrthoNC. In Jaime’s free time, he enjoys playing golf as much as possible and spending time with his three amazing kids, Emma, Caroline, and Preston.
