Melissa Stieb received her BS from James Madison University in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. She returned to her native New York to complete the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Suffolk County Community College. While in the PTA program, Melissa lead the PTA club as president, became a Phi Theta Kappa scholar, and due to her hard work and scholarly achievements, she was awarded a grant from New York State through the Audacia Foundation.
Melissa completed a wide range of clinical affiliations in acute care, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient orthopedic facilities including Stony Brook Medical Center. She also gained experience while in Virginia from an internship with Bridgewater College’s athletic training program which combined her passion for sports and rehab. Recently she has taken continuing education classes in kinesiotaping.
Melissa lives in Raleigh close to her sister and loves taking her golden retriever, Blue, hiking in her free time.
