Dr. Correa attended West Virginia University as well as Inter-American University of Puerto Rico and majored in Chemistry. Upon early acceptance, he attended and received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and graduated in the top 10% of his class. His postdoctoral training includes surgical residencies at Community General Hospital in Thomasville, North Carolina and Florida Hospital Health System located in Orlando, Florida. During this time Dr. Correa trained in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery/trauma, sports related injuries, and general foot and ankle care.
After residency, Dr. Correa practiced in Orlando for approximately 3 years before relocating to North Carolina in 2002. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and a member of the North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society. He is also fluent in both Spanish and English.
Dr. Correa currently resides in the Triangle area with his wife and two daughters. During his personal time he enjoys golfing, skiing, soccer, traveling and spending time with his family.
